Today is the 14th anniversary of the Noturious B.I.G. Do you remember where you were when you heard the news of his death? There will never be another artist like him and there hasn't been. Born in Brooklyn, Biggie became known around the city and to others by 'battling' other up and coming rappers. Later he was discovered by Producer Sean Combs 'Puffy', who took him to another level in the rap game and helped him get national exposure and release his first album 'Ready To Die'. 'Ready To Die' reached number 13 on the Billboard Chart and was certified platinum 4 times. Biggie also married Faith Evans another artist that was on Puffy's label at this time. From his fame Biggie soon started Junior Mafia, a group consisting of his friends from when he was younger. This introduced Lil Cease and Lil Kim. As his notoriety became bigger, Biggie soon began to have confrontations with another artist, Tupac Shakur that turned into a so called 'rapping war'. Shakur was later shot and rumors spread accusing Biggie of the murder. 7 months later, Biggie traveled to L.A and was murdered in a drive by shooting as he was leaving a Vibe party.Both murders remain unsolved.
