I have one. Well two actually. Apologies to anyone that comes later and doesn't get one because of me taking two but I figured I was worth some kind of compensation for the people that were queue jumping. We were fighting the cause for the people behind us with the apple staff who kept letting the randoms in.
Incidentally, they are *not* offering *any* form of student discount on Leopard here. No higher education discount and no standard discount. Full price or family pack price only.

I was interested in trying this out, but when I updated FB for iPhone it crashed and I haven't been able to get it working again since.

Thanks! Very cool widget. Now all I need is a folding farm, or at least a computer that will fold faster. My 1.33GHz PB (not running 24/7, more like 18/5) and 800MHz iMac aren't exactly tearing through the WU's.

The iPhone will also let Apple hook the user into the whole Apple experience by giving cell users what no cell company has done: a good cell phone operating system, with friendly software.
If Apple misses this opportunity, it will be the defining moment in its history.

This is great news for Apple and for iPod-owning travelers. I can't for the life of me imagine why 5% of people who voted determined this news to be negative, but I often have this problem with the polling system. :rolleyes: Anything that entrenches the iPod for the consumer and the marketplace will only be good for Apple and its product line. One could argue that market domination might preclude innovation, but I don't see that being the case with Apple so much as it is with Microsoft and Dell. The iPod is well on its way to becoming ubiquitous (sp?) -- which will mean greater access to media for us iPod owners.

Three things come to mind.
Does the material require rendering? You'd probably get a big UNRENDERED across your monitor if it did, but you never know.
Does your sequence match the footage and is it compatible with your equipment? First thing I'd be doing is checking projects that worked previously. Then I'd shut everything down, power down the deck, have a coffee, and start up again.
Could there be any NTSC/PAL issues? I'm in PAL land and if I try to play NTSC footage from FCP -> Sony DV CAM deck -> Panasonic Monitor I always have some sort of hassle.
Popping the canvas in Wireframe mode (http://books.google.com.au/books?id=-Jlc5OJ44psC&pg=PA214&lpg=PA214&dq=fcp+view+image%2Bwireframe&source=bl&ots=6o-UOXmyWO&sig=kR1EkbQzPG3b-xIRhf8uAMT9iHM&hl=en&ei=wTqaTaqTOo6ycfax9JgH&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=6&ved=0CDkQ6AEwBQ#v=onepage&q&f=false) can have this effect too. The 'w' key cycles through 'image', 'image + wireframe' and 'wireframe'. The last one shows just the wireframe in the canvas and only still images on the monitor.

Set your phone & computer's time zone to Arizona time, and sync again. Does that help?

Classic B&W mountain photography is probably my favorite of all time. I can just stare at Bradford Washburn's photos for days. I think you did really well here and I enjoyed this one for sure. My only complaint is that the right side left me wanting more, like we weren't quite finished with the ridge.

I have a job, I take care of my family, I pay my bills, I'm not slicing co-eds' throats in the middle of the night, I'm not selling guns to Middle Eastern nutballs -- so at what point does the Holier-Than-Me crowd take me off its speed-dial? They say it's all about Personal Responsibility and yet when I achieve my Decent Member Of Society Merit Badge, they're still telling me how to live, and more to the point, what my wife does with her body.

At this point in time most non-enthusiasts are barely comfortable reinstalling an OS. They'd be totally lost if OS X wasn't on a disc. I'm sure Apple doesn't want to have to deal with all the extra support calls and will provide Lion on DVD for any Mac that has a SuperDrive. DVDs are on their way out but still have a lot of mainstream life in them.
